Hello guys! I’m writing to you guys with my chicken + rice bone broth soup from the car driving from albecurque to Taos, and while we had a crazy travel day yesterday (we didn’t get in until 1 am and had so many delays) I truly feel absolutely incredible today- which wasn’t always the case, I used to feel awful and have terrible stomach issues while traveling!

So- here’s everything I do to feel amazing while traveling:

Pre-flight essentials:

  1. This is extra, but the day before I love to bake a loaf of fresh milled sourdough to put in the suitcase for the trip, and 1 to freeze so it’s ready to go when were back. This time I brought 1 loaf of fresh milled sourdough rye, and gave away the second loaf to a guest that was over instead- lol!

  2. Before we head to the airport, I always pick up food. I don’t like airport food it all tastes terrible and it doesn’t make me feel good. I grab some organic fruit, grassfed roast beef or some kind of easy protein (this time I got 1/4 lb of grassfed mortadella, 1/4 lb grassfed roast beef, + 1/4 lb grassfed raw gouda from my favorite local grassfed butcher, hudson and charles), organic milk chocolate, and sometimes Vandy or MASA tallow chips if I have room for it!

  3. For my last lunch before leaving town, I love to make my liver recipe! It gives me so much energy, and I tend to not eat organs while traveling, most restaurants don’t serve it!
